Gerishna: In the last Friday of Ramadan, decreed by Imam Khomeini as the “International Day of Quds”, rallies are held by Muslims in Iran and all over the world to show sympathy towards the people of Palestine and denounce the illegal rule and atrocities of Israel. In Gerash, everything is ready for yet another magnificent demonstration this Friday, July 25.
The rally of Quds will start at 11:30 in the morning from Husseiniye Chaharda Masoum (Peace Be upon Them) and will then proceed towards Abyari Street and then return towards Husseiniye Azam. After the rally the Governor of Gerash will make a speech and read out a resolution condemning the horrifying actions of the Zionists. The program shall continue with the last Friday prayer of the holy month of Ramadan.
The rally in the area of Arad will also start at 11:30, from Inqelab Street and will end at Husseiniye Ershad and will also conclude by reading of a resolution.
During the meeting to co-ordinate the day’s events, the Governor of Gerash reaffirmed that the International Day of Quds is the day to show the world that Palestine has not been forgotten and the crimes done against them shall be punished. The Governor, Asghar Foroody, continued: “This day is a day that brings unity between Muslims.” He then talked about how this was a direct result of the efforts by our late Imam Khomeini.
He then added that “Iran needs to be unified in its protest against the Zionist regime’s anti-humanitarian actions in dealing with the people of Palestine.” The governor pointed out how all necessary arrangements had been done to make sure the rallies, in Gerash and Arad, were done in the utmost possible magnificence.
