۷Berkeh: Poems recited for the Holy Prophet and his family warmed the hearts on a long rainy autumn night. The Third Poetry Night for The Greatest Prophet (PBUH) on 24th of November lasted more than three and a half hours, and the zealous crowd waited till past midnight for more than ten local poets and four special guests to read their poems.
Alireza Ghazveh, Saeed Biabanaki and Sadegh Rahmani were the three nationally famous poets who attended this Poetry Night as special guests. Poets from Gerash, Lar and Evaz were also present in the ceremony and presented their poems for the Holy Prophet Mohammad, Imam Hassan and Imam Reza, the third and eighth Imams of the Shiites. A hymnody by the Misbahol-Hoda Group from Lar, and two short lectures by Mr. Foroudi, the Governor of Gerash, and Dr. Mehrabi, professor of philosophy, were the other parts of this Poetry Night.
Mohammad Ali Shamohammadi, the CEO of Haft-Berkeh Art and Culture Institute of Gerash and the director of the ceremony, states that 58 poems were sent by 26 poets from around the country to this Poetry Night. “As a gesture of appreciation, we are going to publish the selected poems in the format of a book”, says Shamohammadi.
This is the third consecutive year that this Poetry Night is being hold by Haft-Berkeh Art and Culture Institute of Gerash by the help of Sun’s Narrative Institute and the Society of Poets and Writers of Gerash.
