Haft Berkeh (Gerishna): Gerash welcomed warmly the Visionary Witnesses convoy on Sunday, January 17th, 2016. The convoy carried the holy bodies of 20 Nameless Martyrs through the southern counties of the Fars province.
The convoy reached Arad, one of the rural districts of Gerash, on Saturday and moved to Lar to spend the night there. On Sunday afternoon the convoy came to Gerash to be welcomed by a large group of people. It moved through the streets to rest in the Martyrs’ Paradise of Gerash, where several special programs were performed. Afterwards, the convoy departed Gerash toward Evaz and other cities of the Fars province and its final destination, Tehran.
Nameless Martyr is a title for the unidentified bodies of those who were killed in the 8-year Imposed War with Iraq. There are many families in Iran, five of them in Gerash, who are still waiting to hear about their lost martyred children in the war. They hope that their anticipation would end when these bodies are identified in Tehran.
