Gerishna: Gerash has an out-of-work cinema, a number of theatrical groups without a proper place to practice and perform, and a plentitude of artists who cannot find a proper gallery to exhibit their art. A glimmer of hope, however, appeared last week, when in two short visits of Gerash, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance Office of Fars made some promises: to build a theater in the form of a black box and also an art gallery, and maybe re-equip the cinema.
Behzad Moridi is from Lar, and is closely familiar with the artistic and cultural capacities of Gerash. Mr. Moridi has recently shown his attention to the artistic community of Gerash by appointing Mehdi Ayeneh-Afrooz, an active and acknowledged person, as the manager of Culture and Islamic Guidance Office of Gerash, and also employing Mohammad Ali Shamohammadi, another Gerashi manager, as his assistant.
